Does anyone know where the sample at the beginning comes from, where the woman is talking about Jimmy Carter?
An absolute jem of a cassette and a pure quality mix.Pure quality from beginning to end.I was listening to it the other day and it still sounds excellent.Highly recommend.☺
This is probably my all-time favourite mixtape of all-time! Neatly mixing up both techno and breakbeats, there are loads of wicked tracks here. It's even inspired me to record a tribute mixtape in the same style. :) It's just too bad that Robertson's 2CD release in the JDJ series (for which this tape was a sampler) didn't even come close to this classic...
I still have the tape, it is pretty worn out, it was a permanent resident in my car for several years. I still get friends asking what that tape was.
