There are decent copies of this out there. Mine plays loud and clear - no noise between the tracks, so vinyl is clean. It seems most copies (all?) have a pressing defect near the end of 'Sea of trees'. On mine, the pressing fault, which looks like a small scratch, causes 16 pops very near the end of the tune. A shame, but by no means killing the experience of listening to this album. I'd still say that if you love Kiyoko, pick this up. The music already contains a kind of static-crackle which is intentional. The beauty of listening to this on vinyl more than makes up for any shortcomings. My only gripe is that there aren't many more Kiyoko releases to get lost in.
Is anybody else's copy dirty beyond recovery?
? Mine doesn't skip, and I didn't hear anything out of "the ordinary"?!
Same with mine at the end of one side but fine apart from that
Sorry, didn't realize I got replies on this comment. I don't have any scratches or skips like some of these other people. It's not a pressing error. It's just a really dirty copy. I've tried cleaning it repeatedly, but it doesn't reduce the surface noise or remove the pops. I can handle surface noise (which isn't excessive anyway), but the pops make it difficult to listen to.
My copy seems to be fine... there's one bit at the end where it pops a few times but it doesn't skip
My record has a scratch on the last track also.
Mine came with a scratch on the last track that causes it to skip, real pissed about it
Could you elaborate more? Cheers
