This for me is a good varied album. Just ripping this to my computer I found myself giving the tracks different genres like IDM, electro, acid, glitch, trip hop and chill out. The sound reminds me of early Royksopp, but just a bit more glitchy, which is great.
One of the reasons I bought it is for the John Foxx track, Free Robot. What this is is a rework of She Robot (or She Robot is a rework of Free Robot, whatever came first). Metamatics has turned it into a completely different track, with the distorted vocals hidden behind a mass of soft ascending alarms and shuffling beats. It's a really good track, but if you're buying the CD just for the John Foxx track, I suggest you listen to the CD before buying it.
