Not noticed any samples missing. Does anyone have a list of exactly the differences and sources and track times from the original LP press. Sounds as I remember.
Does this version use the original "Frontier Psychiatrist" samples or the re-recorded versions?
Good pressing. Sure, it's still missing the samples from the Zomba-promo and the first Australian pressing, so it's like the version you get when you buy the CD-version, iTunes-version, or listen to the album through Spotify or Apple Music.Only problem i have with is that there's some sibilance on side D during "Live at Dominoes". Otherwise, no inner groove-distortion present.Get this while you can before the price shoots up. My local record store sells this for 31,95€, and even that was pushing the limit for me.
That's what I thought at the time, as well. Pre-ordered for 60$ CAN. Was so bummed when they announced months later they would be dropping the Astralwerks / Modular Recordings (2017). Which ended up being a cheaper and inferior pressing - and all it did was decrease the value of this one. Should have waited since they are both the same price now. Market value aside, it's still well worth the spins.
are there different samples on this one compared to the original?
A few samples had to be removed over time because copyright.
listen to this album from the different times it was released/re-released. i have 3 copies of this album CD (2000), CD (2001), LP (2016) and it make me sad listening to them. with the progressing of time, samples had to be excluded and you slowly see the integrity of the album failing. its not the artists fault, but greedy individuals who care nothing of art but the lining of their own pocket.
It's exactly the same. Why would it be different? Are you joking?
Does anyone actually have their hands on this? Is this an official Repress from XL ?
I have 3 original year 2000 copies ☮ & wellness
Yeah picked up a copy from Piccadilly Records last week, 100% legit and quality.Think it may have sold out already.
I have a copy that I ordered from DRIFT in UK. It is a legitimate reissue. Fine quality pressing. Original artwork. No worries.
Just got my copy today. It looks and sounds like a legit official repress from XL. Normally unofficial pressings have flimsy, poorly printed covers and the sound quality is questionable. This has none of that.
