The fifth album in the series is great for the most part, and while I don't think it is as good as any of the previous four releases, there is still a lot to like about it. This album would officially mark the last one in the series that I think it worth having, as after this it strays downhill fast, with only a couple of decent ones later on. Before Part 5, there were two releases in every year, but now it is only one every year if you don't count this one - https://www.discogs.com/Various-The-Best-Dance-Album-In-The-World-95/release/536819 which is really a rip off of this album.

Looking at CD 1, it starts with a bang as we get Jam & Spoon's Right In The Night, M People's Excited and Livin' Joy's Dreamer. The fourth track is Alex Party's Don't Give Me Your Life, and while I do like that song, I do prefer the original version which included a male vocalist. Moving on we get Scatman John, The Outphere Brothers' Don't Stop and The Bomb by the Bucketheads, all great and fantastic choices. The middle is pretty good despite a few duds, as we get Push The Feeling On by the Nightcrawlers, Another Night by the Real McCoy and Zombie by A.D.A.M. Feat Amy - all popular choices of the mid 90's. Most of the end selection are flawless, including the likes of Culture Beat, Corona, DJ Miko, Deuce, N Trance and a favourite by Whigfield in the form of Saturday Night. N Trance's Set You Free would go on to become a huge hit in the early 2000's. The CD is very fun overall and is only really let down by Bobby Brown's Humpin' Around, Clock's Whoomph and the awful Cotton Eye Joe by Rednex.

The second disc definitely takes a different route, and I think this one may be slightly inferior to the first but still impressive. This CD's selection is all very much dance with nothing slow, and only a few duds. The first two tracks, Billie Ray Martin's Your Loving Arms and especially Strike's U Sure Do were very big tunes at the time, and I found myself enjoying U Sure Do a lot. A mention goes out to Tune In, Cop Out by Freak Power which is a rare one to find, and moving forward we get an appearance by The Chemical Brothers and Tell Me When by The Human League - a nice track. I have mixed feelings towards the (Ruffer Remix) of Baby D's Let Me Be Your Fantasy and probably would have preferred the original. Axel F is great, and Jinny's Keep Me Warm is one of my favourite's here. Grace's Not Over Yet is very overrated, but then tracks 12, 13 and 14 are phenomenal. Lastly, I really enjoyed Big Mountain's Baby I Love Your Way and Ace Of Base's The Sign. Track 19 is not too bad either, but East 17's Steam is underwhelming. So yeah, not quite as good as the first CD, only coming down to overall song choices.

Overall, Part 5 is a great album with two great CD's, but as I said at the beginning of the review, not quite as great as the first four albums. If you're into mid 90's dance, definitely give this one a try as it is really good.
